Onikuma Gaming Headset
All About Onikuma Gaming Headsets
Onikuma is the brand name given to the gaming headsets manufactured by Shenzen Ouni Technology Inc. They're a Chinese manufacturer and they've been putting out some great gaming gear since 2006, including headsets and a decent gaming mouse. The company claims that more than two million people use their products, and judging by the preponderance of Onikuma headsets on Amazon and at Walmart, we're inclined to believe them.
Two million users is a mighty big market share, but they're not all using the same headset. Onikuma has an entire catalog of headsets, but they all share some similarities. First, every one of them in our Onikuma gaming headset review features internal never-die batteries. There's no need to change AA batteries every few weeks. A single charge is good for 30 days and that's if you never turn them off. Every one of their headsets also features amazing surround sound. They're not quite 3D sound, but they're close. Also, you won't find any other gaming headsets that are so cross-compatible with so many different systems, whether it's PS4 or Xbox One, PC or even Nintendo. Most Onikuma headsets work with them all.
You'll also find that every Onikuma gaming headset carries the same large padded earphone design. You'll look more like a fighter pilot than a gamer while wearing them, thanks to their ultra-comfortable large size and their huge mics. Some of them even light up!
Onikuma Headset Lineup
While there are major similarities between all of the Onikuma headsets, there are also some differences. Some of them have RGB lighting, while others include noise cancellation technology. An Onikuma gaming headset review doesn't need to go into too much detail about the aesthetics of each set, but should let you know which headphones have what features. Below we have given you a quick rundown of the lineup.
K3 RGB Gaming Headset
The K3 RGB gaming headset is Onikuma's newest addition to their lineup. They're promoting this one as the greatest headset yet. We love the RGB-lit dragon's face on the earphones and their noise-canceling capabilities.
K1 Camo Headset
The K1 camouflage headset resembles something a tank commander would wear. You can find different camouflage patterns, but the boxy, utilitarian shape of the earpieces are what sets this apart.
Onikuma K5 Standard Headset
The K5 standard gaming headset is the backbone of Onikuma and is probably the headset you're going to see at stores. This is also one of the most comfortable headsets, with huge padded earpieces and a solid padded headband.
Onikuma II K6 Headset
Finally, the Onikuma II K6 headset has a distinct large RGB light pattern around the bulbous earpiece. There's also noise-canceling technology included.
What's a good Onikuma gaming headset review without looking at the nuts and bolts of the headset? Onikuma headsets get made with serious consideration to quality. We're talking solid build and lightweight melded together to bring you a great headphone experience. You'll love the military-grade cable which is practically impossible to break or fray without tools.

Pricing and Warranty
An Onikuma gaming headset costs between $ and $$, depending on the model and the retailer. Every headset from Onikuma comes with a decent one-year warranty. We love when a company stands behind their product, which Onikuma clearly does.
Finding customers who gave an Onikuma gaming headset review is easy to do thanks to Amazon. People who bought the newest K3 RGB headset gave it a respectable 4.3 out of 5 stars. Almost everyone praised the comfort of these headphones. Many people said that the headphones are soft and lightweight and don't squeeze their head, resulting in many hours of gameplay without discomfort. Customers also loved the good build quality and the toughness of the unit, especially the cord.
On the other hand, some people complained that these headphones pump out too much bass. Also, quite a few customers were unhappy with the quality of the microphone, which they said crackles and cuts out often. That could be a critical flaw when you're deep into a multiplayer shooter.
Pros and Cons
After reading through this Onikuma gaming headset review, you have a good idea of what these headsets offer. Onikuma headsets are certainly a good investment if you want mid-range hardware at a great price. However, they're not perfect. There are plenty of cons to go with their pros.
How We Made Our Onikuma Gaming Headset Review
To make sure our Onikuma gaming headset review gave you as much information as you need to make an informed buying decision, we scoured the internet for information. We checked out the Onikuma website and visited Geek Dad for their ultra-hilarious review. Then we looked at the Onikuma headset lineup on Amazon, giving us a great idea of price range. Next, we took a look to see what Amazon customers had to say about their headsets.
Finally, we looked at some of Onikuma's competitors. We wanted to see how well they stack up. Once we did all that, we were confident that we had the kind of Onikuma gaming headset review that you need.
How They Compare To The Competition
The final step in any Onikuma gaming headset review is to see how they stack up to the competition. We wanted to know if Phoinikas can make headsets with the same level of comfort, or HyperX can also create unbreakable cords. And just in case we missed something, we took a look at Beexcellent's newest gaming headset because it looks just as good as the Onikuma headset.
PHOINIKAS Stereo Gaming Headset
- Stereo Sound:50 mm neodymium magnet driver provides highly accurate and precise stereo surround sound. You can hear...
- Noise-Canceling Mic:Highly sensitive microphone can transmit your voice accurately, fluently and clearly. The mic can be...
- Great Comfort:Lightweight, soft protein over-ear padding and soft cushion over the head reduce pressures on ears and...
First up in our comparison is the Phoinikas stereo gaming headset. Like Onikuma, the Phoinikas is compatible with PS4, Xbox One, and PC. To start, we should mention that we couldn't find any information about Phoinikas the company. There's a marketing agency with the same name, but when it comes to headset manufacturers, we came up short on both Google and DuckDuckGo. This leads us to suspect they're a brand name from a Chinese manufacturer with a different name, much like Onikuma. The fact that they're only sold on Amazon and eBay confirms this suspicion.
The actual headphones themselves are beautiful. A full LED light illuminates both earpieces, which are fully padded and comfortable. A 50-millimeter magnetic driver produces great surround sound. All of that is packed into a headset which only weighs one pound. You can buy them for between $ and $$, but they only come with Amazon's standard 90-day return policy.
Speaking of Amazon, customers gave this set a whopping 5.0 out of 5 stars. Customers raved about the sound quality and praised their comfort level as well. There were no complaints.
but they only come with Amazon's standard 90-day return policy.

HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset
- Lightweight headset with 90-degree rotating ear cups , Sound pressure level - 102 ± 3dBSPL/mW at 1kHertz
- 50mm directional drivers for Audio precision
- Hyperx signature Memory foam. Adjustable steel Slider
Next, we took a look at the HyperX Cloud Stinger gaming headset. The HyperX headset is compatible with all major platforms, including Nintendo Wii (if that's your thing). Finding HyperX online was easy. They're a brand of Kingston Technologies. Yes, the same company that designs and produces cutting-edge memory boards. HyperX is located in Fountain Valley, California.
The headset themselves has gel memory foam around the ears and the headband, creating a squishy yet comfortable fit. Thanks to 50-millimeter directional drivers, you can adjust the earpieces up to 90-degrees and still receive awesome surround sound. Also, the entire set is only 10 ounces, making it extremely light. When you look at it and hold it, you get a feeling of solid durability. These headphones don't have any LED lights or other bells and whistles, but what they do have is excellent sound quality and comfort. You'll pay between $ and $$ for a set, and your investment gets protected by a jaw-dropping five-year warranty. We've never seen a set of gaming headphones with that kind of confidence.
Customers on Amazon gave it 3.8 out of 5 stars. Customers praised the exceptional sound quality, and the surround sound capabilities made many people happy. One customer wrote that he can hear the crack of a gunshot on the other side of the map but not his wife yelling at him, so he will definitely be buying them again. Customers also loved their solid build quality. On the other hand, there were some complaints that this headset is too bass-heavy. Another common complaint was that the volume between the two earpieces isn't balanced.
Includes a jaw-dropping five-year warranty.

Beexcellent Heavy Bass Headphone
- 【Deep bass & crystal sound high precision 50mm magnetic neodymium driver transmits more accurate, more smooth and...
- 【Zero pressure earmuff covered with breathable and porous fabric effectively keeps from sweat and heat even in a hot...
- 【Fashionable appearance camouflage patterns possess a decorative beauty, helps to lift your mood when playing games....
Next, we checked out Beexcellent's heavy bass headphones. These headphones are similar to the Onikuma camouflage headphones in style and price, so it makes sense that we include them in an Onikuma gaming headset review. Like Phoinikas, we couldn't find anything about Beexcellent. Google brought up an eCommerce consultancy, and that's it. There's a good chance that this is another one of those mysterious Amazon-only Chinese manufacturers.
Despite that, these headphones look really cool. They have a camouflage pattern, lit up by cool blue LED lights arranged in a fan-blad pattern along the earpieces. The first thing you'll notice is a breathable mesh earmuff over the padding on the earpieces. They use a memory foam to help keep it comfortable. Like all the other headsets in this Onikuma gaming headset review, these use 50-millimeter drivers to provide an immersive surround sound experience. Also, they come with a heavy braided cord much like the Onikuma headset. Expect to pay between $ and $$, backed by a decent 18-month warranty.
Amazon customers gave them a respectable 4.8 out of 5 stars, citing their superb comfort and excellent sound quality as reasons for the high rating. Another feature customers loved was the crystal clear quality of the microphone. The Beexcellent may have the best microphone of all the gaming headsets we reviewed if customer satisfaction is any indication. The only complaints were that the headset isn't very durable, so if it gets bent or stepped on, there's a good chance it will break.
This product is backed by a decent 18-month warranty.

- 3.【NOISE ISOLATING MICROPHONE】Onmi-directional microphone transmits high quality communication with its premium...
Finally, we looked at the Bengoo G9000 stereo gaming headset. Because they're in the same price range as the Onikuma headsets and have the same cross-compatibility as well as functions, they're an excellent candidate for our Onikuma gaming headset review. Also, they're incredibly popular on Amazon. Bengoo is a brand from iBengoo, a Chinese manufacturer, and they're all over Amazon, and you'll find a set in millions of gamer's inventories.
The Bengoo G9000 has an alien-technology look to it. They're solid, with large angular earpieces lit up by eight blue LED lights. Even the angular microphone looks like something from a science-fiction movie. The G9000 comes with a surround-sound stereo subwoofer in addition to two 40-millimeter drivers. Best of all, they include noise-cancellation and acoustic positioning, so you'll hear the sounds coming from the correct direction on your screen. Finally, Bengoo designed the headpiece and the earpiece foaming with the human skull in mind, making an incredibly comfortable headset. They cost between $ and $$, but there's no warranty.
On Amazon, customers gave them 3.8 out of 5 stars. Most customers loved the comfortable fit of this headset. In fact, that was one good thing every customer had to say about it. They also praised the high-quality sound the Bengoo G9000 puts out. Complaints included a lack of true noise canceling, which many customers said doesn't work, as well as a crackling microphone which doesn't transmit sound very well. Also, several people found that the G9000 to break easily.

Onikuma Gaming Headset Review
So, after reading our Onikuma gaming headset review, should you buy? The answer isn't as straightforward as we would like. For starters, they come at a great price, and they're super-comfortable. Also, they look great. But we're not fans of a heavy bass which can drown out the higher trebles, and the microphone is problematic. On the other hand, the Beexcellent headset we reviewed had the best all-around customer satisfaction rate, with a great microphone and fantastic sound. So if you're looking for the best bang for your buck, we recommend going with the Beexcellent.
That being said, the Onikuma gaming headset is a solid piece of hardware, and if you prefer something with less camouflage and more of a stylish design, then the Onikuma would be our next choice.
